Conrad Cayman is a Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, martial arts instructor, and voice actor who teaches and performs on ukulele, guitar, bass (upright and U-Bass), and plectrum banjo.

An Ohana Ukuleles artist, Conrad has performed at the Los Angeles Ukulele Festival, the Reno Ukulele Festival and Centrum Foundation’s Acoustic Blues Festival in Port Townsend, WA. 2025 will see Conrad’s debut at Centrum’s Ukulele Festival, the Midwest Uke and Harmonica camp, and a few more that have yet to be officially announced. His sideman work in the ukulele world has included backing up Cynthia Lin, Bernadette “Plazi” Plazola, and Timmy Cruz.

Conrad also leads the Big Butter Jazz Band and freelances for other Traditional Jazz, Swing, Gypsy Jazz, and Tiki bands around Los Angeles. He has played at Trad Jazz festivals in LA, New Orleans, San Diego, Fresno, Sacramento, and Pismo Beach, many summer concert series, and special client events for actors Hilary Swank, Alan Tudyk, the Geffen Playhouse, Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels, and the Rose Parade.

Always striving to be an eternal student, Conrad is inspired by his teachers to share and pass on knowledge. He has taught various subjects privately and publicly for 30 years, from martial arts workshops in Europe and Canada, radio broadcasting at teen summer camps, Microsoft Excel to co-workers, and ukulele lessons for UCLA Recreation. Conrad loves connecting to people through teaching and learning, and having a lot of his own musical training through music camps, it’s a joy for him to now be able to give back at camps.
