MIDWEST UKE & HARMONICA CAMP 2024 WRAP-UP
July 19 – 21, 2024
University of Toledo, OH

Wow, what a wonderful weekend we just experienced!

We hope you learned a lot from our wonderful teaching artists with their wide range of class subjects and enjoyed the variety of music played at our staff concerts Friday and Saturday evenings. A huge thanks to our talented instructors: Chrissy, Ray Cygrymus, Eve Goldberg, Casey MacGill, Herb Ohta, Jr., Amber Rozel, Melissa Sigh, Reuben Stump, Bryan Tolentino, Viggy, Sandy Weltman, and Andy Wilson.

In addition, we had a lot of fun listening to many of you strut your stuff at our open mics on Saturday and getting together after the concerts to strum together. A big thanks to Kirk Jones for hosting these experiences.

A very special thanks to John Payne for the great sound at our concerts, Sara Wagner for managing the artist’s merch section of our camp store, and Jon Benallack for his photo and video expertise.

If you are on Facebook, please take a moment to join our Friends of Midwest Uke & Harmonica Camp private group page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/869228841913290. It’s a great place to share photos, videos, and other memories with your fellow campers.

In closing, I’d like to say that in these times of division in our country and the stress we may experience in our personal lives; the healing power of music is one of the few things that can truly bring us together as a musical ‘ohana and help soothe our sometimes troubled souls. You, our campers, are what make these weekends so extraordinary and our lives a little brighter and more peaceful; mahalo ā nui for your trust and support.

With great appreciation,
